Klaus Fielsch
Klaus Fielsch is a Product Manager at Metropolitan Touring / MetroJourneys, bringing over three decades of expertise in South American travel and destination development. For the past 25 years, he has spent significant time exploring Colombia’s diverse regions, birdwatching, studying plants, and engaging with local communities.
During his tenure at MetroJourneys, Klaus has developed innovative concepts, including Mashpi Lodge—ranked as the 8th best resort in South America by Condé Nast Traveler. He has also shaped groundbreaking expedition strategies in the Galapagos and trained multiple generations of the region's top guides.
In 2022, Klaus was elected as a Governing Member of the General Assembly of the Charles Darwin Foundation. Throughout the year, he actively represents Metropolitan Touring's destinations at global tourism fairs, congresses, and industry events, for Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and the Galapagos.
