Cathy Toogood is a freelance travel journalist based in Manchester. As a proud Mancunian, she specialises in writing about the city she grew up in and still calls home. But she also enjoys writing about her travels elsewhere – from gorilla trekking in Rwanda and a family trip to the Jersey Shore to a women’s expedition in Turkey. Cathy often plans adventures with her two young children and aims to help readers navigate their own family trips through first-hand accounts of her experiences (and mistakes).
